Crime Rate Plunges in Dundee

How about this for a piece of good news?

Dundee ’s crime rate has dropped by 87% over the last 15 years. Local Christian Andy Burns, who runs ROCK Street Chaplains, heard the encouraging statistic at a meeting of DUNCAN (Dundee Co-ordinated Anticrime Network) earlier this month. What’s more, Dundee has one of the safest city centres in Scotland , according to the group’s Tayside Police representative.

Andy Burns and his team of Street Chaplains work closely with Tayside Police, bouncers in the bars and clubs, and the CCTV radio link. He said: “Keep praying for this city – God is at work and it is being noticed on a national and local level. “Let’s pray that God will now move in the hearts of people, and we will see a move of God at a spiritual level in our city.”
